2025 in Review: Progress, Growth, and What’s Next

Happy New Year! What a year 2025 has been.

Medicine by Movement had over 150 exercise classes held, multiple free workshops, injury-screens, recovery tables at sporting events, and even a few new classes such as the Low Back Pain class and Osteoarthritis course, as well as over 30 members in my Wellness Group. Collaboration with lots of local and traveling health and wellness professionals, and of course, the development of Well Yes, the new wellness business by Susan Chartier and I. Medicine by Movement's wellness options grew tremendously during 2025 - showing the importance of being proactive with your health! And of course, my Physical Therapy case load continues to expand. Working with clients as young as grade school, and as old as late 90s. Often in the clinic, but also coming to your home, your work, or even the gym. Medicine by Movement continues to offer concierge service - convenient, and designed for you! I want to thank each and every one of you who worked with me the past couple years. What a treat it has been to watch you all accomplish goal after goal. You should all be oh so proud of yourselves! And, I wanted to share some new programs and equipment on the horizon that could be beneficial to you or your loved ones!

2026 Movement Reset

Align and Optimize: Movement Coaching for the New Year

Start 2026 off the right way and set yourself up to actually reach your health and fitness goals. Remote coaching is a great option if you want expert guidance from a physical therapist while training on your own schedule—helping you stay injury-free and continue progressing.

I use an app called TrueCoach, which is extremely user-friendly and designed to keep you accountable without adding stress to your day. You’ll receive daily reminders for your workouts, along with personalized exercise videos and clear explanations. The app tracks everything for you and integrates with Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin, and more.

You can message me anytime with questions—or even just for motivation. Not sure if an exercise feels right? You can send a video through the app so I can check your form and make adjustments as needed.

Normally, my remote programming is $299/month with a 3-month commitment. As a New Year’s special, I’m offering the full 3-month package for $600 total ($200/month).

This package includes:

  • Full remote coaching through TrueCoach

  • A comprehensive full-body movement evaluation to identify potential injuries, compensations, or muscle imbalances

  • Personalized goal setting based on your needs

  • Customized programming designed to help you reach those goals

  • A follow-up in-person visit after 3 months

Typically, this would cost $299/month for programming plus $215 per visit—but with this offer, you get everything for $200/month.

Remote Coaching Deal!

Feel like you have a good handle on how your body is moving, but just need more guidance or accountability? As described above, I offer remote coaching and have recently transitioned to TrueCoach. Because I am still working on the details of this, and as a New Year's special, I am offering Remote coaching through TrueCoach for only $50 for the 1st month (must be purchased prior to Jan 20th). I usually require a 3-month commitment with this because it is a lot of work to design, but I want everyone to see how beneficial this can be, then you can decide if you'd like to move forward after the 1st month.

New Equipment

Do you have a stubborn Tendonitis or Fascial Issue?

I am so excited to announce I have just purchased a new Shockwave Unit! Shockwave Therapy is "a non-invasive treatment using sound waves to promote natural healing, reduce pain, and break down damaged tissue in chronic musculoskeletal issues like plantar fasciitis or tendinitis, stimulating cell repair, blood flow, and collagen production through effects like mechanotransduction." There is tons of exciting research out there on the effectiveness of Shockwave Therapy, especially for issues such as:

*Plantar Fasciitis

*Patellar or Achilles Tendonosis

*Bicep Tendonosis

*IT Band irritation

And so much more!

Most of the research shows between 4-8 treatments is the sweet spot, obviously paired with the appropriate exercise. The good news is, I still have a few 25% off discounted packages available! You will never get prices as low as this again in the future, and you have 1 year to use them, and they can be shared between family members!

If you have been in the clinic or to one of my classes, you may have noticed a nice equipment closet with more Kettlebells, heavier weights, weight vests, sliders and more! Space is fairly limited, but I do have a couple other wish-list items I hope to bring in 2026 and I will keep you updated!

As mentioned prior, I appreciate each and every one of you! Unlike SEARHC PT, I get referrals from my clients, not the physicians. So, if you have had a good experience with me, or think you know someone who would benefit from seeing me, please pass along this referral card or have them reach directly out to me and say you referred them so they get 50% off their evaluation, and you get a FREE VISIT as a thank you!

And, to help others find me, if you have time, please leave me a google review:

Treatment Advice:

In December I focused on exercises and tips for staying active while traveling. Check out my blog: "Alicia's guide to staying active while traveling" complete with multiple exercises, as well as a great list of "active vacations" if anyone is looking for inspiration! And as always, check out my Instagram site for Treatment Tuesday exercise ideas:

Thank you to everyone who continues to try and make their health a priority. I know how hard it is to makes changes, and definitely how hard it is to find time for ourselves. The problem is, if you don't find time, your body will eventually force you to find time, and I promise you, it's NEVER at a convenient time. So, keep up the good work, and if you need a little more guidance in any area of your health, reach out! If I'm not the right person to help, there is a good chance I know who to refer you to! Here's to lots of movement in 2026!

Ciao!

Alicia, your PT and Wellness Coach
