Service Description

After multiple sold-out in-person knee and hip Osteoarthritis classes, I am thrilled to announce a discounted online version! The perfect gift to yourself, or anyone you may know struggling with knee or hip pain! Taught by a Licensed Physical Therapist with over 20 years experience treating knee and hip pain: Alicia Haseltine PT, DPT, CMPT If you’ve struggled with Osteoarthritis (OA)—or simply want to prevent it in the future—this course is for you! While some individuals may need personalized, one-on-one care, many people can benefit from this guided program designed to help you take charge of your knee or hip pain associated with OA. Over six weeks, you’ll learn practical exercises, movement strategies, and lifestyle modifications that can help you reduce pain, improve mobility, and prevent future flare-ups. It’s an excellent next step for anyone who has completed physical therapy and wants to maintain progress with expert guidance, or for those looking for a cost-effective, educational way to manage knee and hip discomfort or lack of function independently. We will touch on activity modification, nutrition for joint-related pain, and other strategies, but the focus will be on exercise, as all research shows this is by far the best conservative treatment for Osteoarthritis. The program includes one, 1-hour class per week, where you’ll watch, learn, and actively participate. Between sessions, you’ll be encouraged to practice what you’ve learned through simple “homework” exercises to reinforce new habits and build confidence. You can move through the program at your own pace to fit your schedule. However, for the best results, we recommend following the weekly structure—avoiding long gaps or rushing through the material—to allow your body time to adapt and strengthen gradually. By the end of the six weeks, you'll walk away with a good understanding of what exercises and activities to focus on to help with knee and hip OA, how to minimize pain when it comes on, as well as ways to help prevent it in the future. You will have handouts and instructional videos, you have access to message me with questions throughout, and there will be monthly live Q&A sessions available if needed. You’ll not only understand your Osteoarthritis better—you’ll feel more empowered to care of your knees and hips for years to come.
